Connect an M3U playlist
An M3U playlist is a link from your provider that lists your channels. LAKSMED reads it and builds your channel list.
What you need
- The playlist URL from your provider. It usually ends in
.m3uor containsget.php. - Optionally, an EPG URL (XMLTV) for the programme guide.
Steps
- Open LAKSMED. On first launch it opens the connection screen; later, go to Settings → IPTV stream.
- Choose M3U playlist.
- Enter the Playlist URL, starting with
http://orhttps://. - If your provider gave you a guide address, enter it as EPG URL (XMLTV).
- Give the subscription a name you will recognise, then press Save. Your channels load.
LAKSMED adds playlists by address. A playlist saved as a file on your device cannot be opened directly; ask your provider for the playlist link.
What M3U includes
An M3U playlist is a list of streams, so it carries less than a full provider login. Live TV works fully. Films appear only if they are in the playlist, series have no season structure, and the programme guide needs the XMLTV address. If your provider also offers Xtream Codes details, connecting with Xtream Codes gives you more.
If it doesn't work
- Check the address character by character. Copying it from your provider's email avoids typing mistakes.
- Make sure your provider account is active and not already in use on too many devices.
- Settings → Diagnostics shows what the provider answered.
